	WHAT TO WEAR?! As various dance styles require specific clothing and footwear, you want to make sure you have the right gear. Below is a guide for what to wear for best comfort and functionality for your class of interest. We also offer some fun Escalate Dance and Theatre clothing items so be sure to check it out the next time you're at the studio.
BALLET, TAP and JAZZ	Require ballet shoes and tap shoes. You may wear jazz shoes or dance sneakers in jazz class if you prefer. The best clothing attire for ballet, tap, jazz classes are tights and leotards for girls and t-shirt and dance pants for boys.
MUSICAL THEATER	Jazz shoes, dance sneakers, character shoes or you may wear ballet slippers! The best clothing attire for musical theater classes are tights and leotards for girls and t-shirt and dance pants for boys.
BALLROOM, SWING and LATIN	Ballroom shoes, character shoes, jazz shoes or a comfortable shoe with a heel. A dress shoe works the best for men.
BALLET TECHNIQUE	Pink or white ballet shoes required. All students must be in classical pink and black leotard and tights.
POINTE	Pointe shoes required. See ballet instuctor for proper guidance.
JAZZ/HIP HOP	Jazz shoes are required. Snug, comfortable clothing is suggested.
IRISH DANCE	Jazz shoes, ballet shoes or tennis shoes work best. Snug comfortable clothing is suggested.
YOGAFIT	No shoes required. Snug, comfortable clothing is suggested.
BREAKDANCING	Tennis shoes required. Indoor use only! Comfortable, flexible clothing is suggested.
IMPROV/ACTING	No shoe requirements, however jazz shoes often work best.
